Rick Steves' Europe: Rome, Ceasar's Rome, Sicily

Rick Steves doesn’t just list where to travel in Europe, he leads travelers through the “back door,” and reveals how to delve into European culture, connect with the locals, and experience each region’s natural wonders economically and hassle free. Beautifully filmed on location throughout Europe, his newest video series captures the essence of each destination and highlights the best local sights, from world-famous attractions to lesser-known gems. In Rick Steves’ Europe: Rome, Caesar’s Rome and Sicily, after a pilgrimage to Michelangelo’s Pieta, Rick climbs to the top of St. Peter’s Basilica. He seeks out Rome’s tucked-away Renaissance paintings and exquisite sculptures by the master of marble, Bernini. Then he joins the locals on an after-dark stroll, lacing together Rome’s baroque and ancient sights. In Sicily, Rick goes fishing for anchovies off Cefalu and marvels at the enchanting ruins of Segesta, the fiery rim of Mount Etna, and the eerie skeletons in a Cappuccin crypt. “It’s Rick Steves again, that one-man Euro-dynamo.” — Chicago Tribune

Customer Review: GREAT OVERVIEW, USEFUL AS REMINDER
This video captures the true impact of Rome in a way that I have not seen anywhere else. I highly recommend this tape for the Caesar’s Rome overview. The videography is stunning! Rick is very easy to watch and does what most of us want to when we are on vacation: sample the best food, get a good deal on decent accomodations, see the best the city has to offer in art, history, architecture, culture etc. I was brought back to Rome while watching this! I want to show it to people!
