Hidden Treasures of Europe France Limousin and Meuse/Rhine

Limousin It is located in the very heart of France and stretches through an area that runs from Clermont Ferrand to Limoges. A way of life that is in dramatic contrast to that in Paris, which is not far away, can be found right here. Along the way we can visit scenic holiday resorts, look at ancient inactive volcanoes and sample wonderful mineral water.

There is a wealth of history in the region as well as the works of medieval masons can be seen on many of the structures. A wide variety of modern and ancient experiences can be gathered in Limousin.

Between Meuse and Rhine this beautiful district in northeastern France is known as Lorraine. Wooded forests, blue lakes and green valleys sit between the Meuse, Moselle and Rhine Rivers. We’ll visit the historical and colorful Nancy, see where battles were fought and stand where Romans brought their goods to be traded. This is where a girl named Joan of Arc left a small fortified town in 1429 to begin a triumphal journey. There is a lot to enjoy on our journey along the rivers of France.
