Day 1 London - Paris
Greetings from our Tour Director, as we travel to Dover and view the White Cliffs. A short Channel crossing takes us to Calais in France and elegant, Paris. Tonight, why not take a tour of the city’s spectacular illuminations?
Day 2 Paris at leisure
Our morning sightseeing shows us the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysées, Place de la Concorde and Notre Dame Cathedral. With time at leisure perhaps explore the Louvre or shop along the Rue du Faubourg St. Honoré.
Day 3 Paris - Lake Lucerne
We drive through Burgundy wine country en route to Switzerland. Later, we arrive at our hotel near beautiful lakeside Lucerne.
Day 4 Lucerne at leisure
Today we see the Lion Monument and the Old Town. At leisure, perhaps take a cruise on the lake or shop for Swiss watches and chocolates. For fantastic views, maybe take a cog-wheel train to the top of one of the nearby mountains. Later, why not join in some Swiss folklore?
Day 5 Lake Lucerne - Mainz
Today we drive via Zurich to Schaffhausen stopping to view the mighty Rhine Falls. Then a scenic drive through the Black Forest, past Lake Titisee, brings us to Freiburg. Next we head to Heidelberg, with its ancient castle before reaching our hotel in the Rhineland.
Day 6 Mainz - Rhine Cruise - Amsterdam
Today’s drive into the Rhine Valley reveals wine villages and castles, providing a tranquil setting for our Rhine cruise. Later, we view Cologne’s spectacular Cathedral en route to Amsterdam.
Day 7 Amsterdam - London
Morning orientation reveals the wonders of this lively city. After a visit to a diamond-cutting factory, we drive through Dutch and Belgian countryside to Calais to board our ferry for the sea crossing to Dover. Then by coach we return to London.
